Located at 1760 Fremont Boulevard in Seaside, California is one of my favorite brunch restaurants in all of Monterey County. They have some tasty brunch restaurant staples such as chicken and waffles, blueberry pancakes and fruit topped French toast. One of the unique parts about this restaurant is the local and unique flare that the owners have infused into their menu. For example, the hand rolled lumpias called “The Queen Marcian’s Lumpias” on the menu, are a family tradition. The Adobo pork belly fried rice and the Ono moco loco dishes are two unique plates that I haven’t seen at any other brunch restaurant. The carnitas scramble is one of my favorite dishes.
As there are not many brunch restaurants in the Monterey area, during busy times of the year or on weekends, there are often lengthy waits at restaurants around town. The Butter House, along with some of the best menu in Monterey County, has ample space within the restaurant. I would say that you are less likely to have a long line at this restaurant and you’re even able to put your name on the waitlist from their website www.thebutterhouse.com. If you are looking for a boozy brunch, The Butter House also has a full bar to accompany their menu. Be sure to add this one to your list for brunch restaurants whether you’re a local or in town for a visit!
